Four Probationary Firefighters Are Focus of First two Episodes of “Firelines” Firelines is produced as an educational tool to teach viewers about the fire service and its crucial role in the community. By keeping the community aware and involved through captivating television, this new and unique approach to learning will continue Metro Fire’s leading role in fire prevention and public safety through education and awareness. Firelines, episodes 1 and 2, focus on four recent graduates from the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District academy. The show looks at some of the unusual emergencies they respond to… their struggle to pass a series of physical and written tests… and the challenge they face to fit in as a firefighter. Future episodes will focus on the challenges of responding to certain types of calls, water rescue operations, and the role of each firefighter who works within the station. Firelines will air every other month on News10. It is also one of the first television programs in Northern California to offer a unique video delivery, through video podcast. |
